Job Description

About the Creation Platform Mission
Spotify is a global community of over 250 million music fans and artists, and now podcasters. It’s always been our mission to make audio more accessible, and create a new and wonderful way for creators and fans to connect with each other.
We have three platforms that help us deliver a great creator experience: Anchor (the platform that allows you to create, distribute, monetize, and grow a podcast, all for free), Spotify for Podcasters (the platform that makes it easy to understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify), and Greenroom (the platform that allows anyone to stream or listen to live audio).
We’ve done a lot already, and we have no plans of slowing down. Come help us build the future of podcasting!
About the team
We are looking for a Senior UX Writer to join our Messaging product team – A group passionate about the future of audio and podcasting, laser-focused on re-positioning Spotify from being a traditional 1-way broadcaster, to become a true interactive marketplace between 50 million creators and a billion users!
What you’ll do:
Facilitate workshops on content standards
Write clear, consistent, concise copy
Collaborate with designers, researchers, prototypers, product managers, and engineers to deliver UX solutions
Act as a subject matter expert, present and rationalize your work to partners
You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to design and launch products that will help our creators record, edit, manage and distribute their podcasts
Work across creator-facing surfaces and more technical spaces, bringing the needs of our creators with you as you explore
Help craft the culture of our growing design team that’s central to the podcasting strategy at Spotify
Look at messaging through a global lens to help deliver experiences for different markets
Maintain and document evolving content, brand, and voice/tone standards
Who you are:
A creator yourself or deeply passionate about podcasts and building tools for creators
5+ years of experience writing or editing content for web and mobile experiences
Thrive in a fast-paced organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Optimally manage multiple projects and deadlines
You’ll take full ownership of your work, and you take responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way
You’re no stranger to tackling taxonomy and information architecture challenges. In fact, you enjoy them. Immensely
Experienced writing for a variety of audiences with diverse sets of needs and wants

Spotify is an equal opportunity employer. You are welcome at Spotify for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or what’s playing in your headphones. Our platform is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all thrive, contribute, and be forward-thinking! So bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It’s in our differences that we will find the power to keep revolutionizing the way the world listens.

Spotify transformed music listening forever when we launched in 2008. Our mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art and billions of fans the chance to enjoy and be passionate about these creators. Everything we do is driven by our love for music and podcasting. Today, we are the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service with a community of more than 345 million users.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
