Job Description

Spotify’s Content Strategy, Insights & Analytics group is a team of 40+ data scientists, market researchers and content strategists tasked with navigating the intersection of art and science. The team works to illuminate the ways creative factors and audience dynamics shape the listening experience to help guide the creators, curators and partnership teams that fill Spotify with music and podcasts.
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to work with the group’s managers and ensure the team is effectively using its resources and delivering high-priority projects in a timely manner.
The role covers two primary responsibilities: 1) Management of the full team’s research roadmap, which spans scores of individual projects, 2) Project management of several of the highest priority projects, which tend to involve researchers from multiple disciplines. 
To manage the roadmap, the Senior Project Manager will lead bi-annual planning workstreams and coordinate with team leads to handle updates, dependencies and shifts in priority over time. For high priority projects, you will be accountable for ensuring various researchers understand their objectives and for navigating any obstacles that arise to a timely delivery. 
Across all duties, the role will have to understand the priority goals of both the team and the entire business and work to ensure resources are being best deployed to advance towards those goals. We are looking for someone who is thrilled by the opportunity to help shape Spotify’s interactions with the entire world of creators and musicians. 
Additionally, this candidate will be the first person to hold the role on this team, so they’ll have the power in helping to shape and implement it.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee the roadmap for the Content Strategy, Insights & Analytics team, which is made up of sub-teams of data scientists, market researchers and content strategists.
Project manage individual high profile projects that span multiple sub-teams and disciplines.
Take ownership of existing coordination processes and advance their implementation and efficacy.
Coordinate research distribution guidelines and tooling to ensure effective knowledge sharing while maintaining data security.
Understand the complete perspective, see how all the moving parts should tie together, and systemize it into a functioning program. 
Bring structure to ambiguity and work with managers to address project roadblocks proactively to ensure on time delivery.
Quickly identify points of contention, conflict, or confusion and work to mitigate them.
Track progress of work, milestones, and blockers in an organized way via project management tools in Notion.
Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication across the full team. 
Identify opportunities and efficiencies to advance the team and the role.
Who You Are:
4+ years of Project Management experience.
Experience leading all aspects of roadmaps for cross-functional global teams and coordinating resources across large groups.
Experience supervising priority projects that cross teams and stakeholders.
Comfortable working with researchers and dealing with data. 
Great at influencing, building trust and credibility, and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
Demonstrated track record of self-motivated performance and perseverance. 
Comfortable balancing many concurrent projects in a fast-paced and international environment.
Extremely structured, organized and have great attention to detail.
